My little COW

The local chicken place was having a dress up like a cow get free food. Well everyone knows I'm a sucker for free food. Luckily Laura had a lamb costume at church at looks like a cow. Plus the last time we were there we picked up a hat (cow ears) and some spot sticker. The results free food and the cutest cow in Oklahoma!!!

Jensen 7 months

Ah that face!! How to not fall in love with it!! I think I am a photographer every now and then so we do photo shoots in the living room with natural light. Jensen is really fun right now the laughs and giggles!! And of course those beautiful baby blues. Everyone talks about his eyes. No one in our families has blue eyes so we love them!! There is lots of drool and we still have hope for teeth but still not a one in sight!

We were making sugar cookies!!!! He is a great help in the kitchen, when he wants to!!! But this we great fun!!!

Day School

This fall 2011 Pierson, Jensen and I all started day school. Dayschool is a school at our church. We had been thinking about putting Pierson in it this year. Then I recived a phone call from the director and asked to teach. I was so excited!!! This meant that Jensen would start school too. Was I ready for that?? NO!!! but willing to try it out. The teacher next door to me Allison her daughter goes too. She and Pierson are there before and after school. She likes to read to Pierson and of course he loves it!!!

My class started with 7 but is now at 5. It was REALLY hard the first month but has gotten so much better since then.

Jensen is doing pretty well. They dont take naps so it is hard on him. He is normally tired or yawning in the morning. His teacher does a great job with him and he is literally growing on her. She wears him in a wrap during the day. I think they rock each other by the end of the day.

Tornado

OK so we had a great tornado scare the other day. I was at home with the boys and wasnt sure when to be concerned so I finally woke both boys up and we had our snack in the closet. I figure it was the safest place. Shortly after that Peter came home from work early and all was fine. One of his co-workers lost their house in the storm. We went out on Saturday and helped with the clean up. It was crazy hot but seeing all the devestation made it worth it. I walked up and down the street praying for people because there was just so much devestation and loss I was unsure of what else to do but pray. The fields looked like you had sprinkled cars everywhere. A very good lesson in stuff is stuff.

Update for the workout get healthy me

Well I have joined a gym and started going to classes since I last wrote! YUPPIE!! good news to report! I have lost a couple of pounds but am feeling better about myself. I have a couple of friends that I can go to the gym with so that really helps. I have to say that Katie gets the prize so far because she goes to the classes and so I go. It helps to have someone that will ask where you were if you arent there.

Next I work on my eating! That is what I think is killing me currently. I am also in the process of getting Jensen on the bottle so that will help alittle.

A New Day

Okay so I hate to write about starting to eat healthy or be on a diet or lose weight because this is concret. As in I can look back at this and see how long it has been since I wanted to start something. ACCOUTABLITY!! Yup sounds weird but it is true for me!!

So here goes nothing!! I want to lose weight and start to feel better about my self. I know what everyone says "give your self a year. it took 9 months to put on the weight 12 months to take it off" or "you look great". But I am just not to believing either of those yet. I know that I am nursing and "they" (whoever THEY are) say that your body will tend to keep about 10 pounds on while nursing!! I dont see that happen to everyone so I want to be the one that it doesnt happen too. I did Weight Watchers before I was pregnant and I lost about 15lbs. I loved it when I got down to my goal weight. Then we moved and I lost my WW buddy and then about 6 months later I was pregnant. I did lose all the weight with Pierson, gained 50 and lost it. I only gained 40 with Jensen and yet to lose 20.

I really dont have time to workout. I would love to run and train for a half marathon or even a 5k. I know crazy excuse but when nursing you really dont want to go for a jog!!! With Jensen changing his schedule so often right now I have been more tired lately. I think I'm not getting enough of the deep REM sleep, but who knows. In my spare time and yes I do have some in the day I want to craft!! or clean!!! I know that if I exercise I will feel better and have more energy--duh!!

I only nursed Pierson for about 2 or 3 months so I have had a taste of freedom. Not in a bad way but just in a good non-tied down way!! I want to try and keep up nursing till a year but day by day we will see. In saying all that I dont feel like I could workout at any old time. Maybe I'm wrong but thats how I feel. Okay enough ranting and excuses. Today March 22, 2011 I want to lose 20lbs. It took me 15 weeks to lose 15 so lets say 3 months goal.

Update for March fun

Here is the picture from when we made Easter cookies and from Pierson getting his 2yr shots. I'm not big on shots and there are some that I will not let him get but I didn't want him to get them till he was 2. He kept saying mommy orange and green hurt. It was so sad!! Grandma went with us to the doctor

and then followed us home because both of them were crying!!!! Thank you grandma!!!

Today Pierson and I made sugar cookies. These are famous cookies in our family everyone always wants my mom to make them. My parents are coming this weekend so I had cookies on the brain. I let Pierson use the cookie cutters to help me cut them out. They say Happy Easter, a bunny, and the designs for a Easter egg but after they cooked they didnt have anything on them! Oh well! They were still fun to make! I think my favorite was when we had done a bunny one and he stuck his finger on her face and messed it up then said oh no!! It was messy and lots of no, stop, dont put that there but I loved it I feel like its a good bonding time. He gets his chair from the table and helps me in the kitchen as much as I will let him. As I type this he is singing 'choo choo train choo choo train HORSE, mommy mommy Horse!!' oh to be in his brain! Picture to follow

March Fun

Well so far we have stayed inside because its cold, played in the backyard with water and 70 degree weather, and am enjoying rain tonight!! What a month!!! Pierson was playing with a box from a friend and got some kind of grease on him. His hands and foot were silver!! It was funny and scary!

Nose Bit

Pierson loves to kiss Jensen! So sweet UNTIL tonight. I should say that Pierson also likes to open mouth kiss as well. Tonight Jensen was hanging out in the boppy and Pierson was next to him then we hear a loud scream! Jensen was crying and Pierson was star struck! We didnt know what happened till you could see what looked like teeth marks on each side of jensens nose! Poor guy only the beginning of the brotherly love!!

Jensen was the church baby today! Chris held him until Sarah stole him then he cried and mommy got him! I think it is very sweet! I love to see his smiles that he gives to others! He smiles alot lately and wow is he so adorable!

This weekend we thought my sister in law was coming so we cleaned the craft room! We finally got things put up and cleaned! It looks good!! then we got the call she is not coming! Oh well would of been nice to see her but we got the room clean! Now my daddy is coming tomorrow night and he will have a clean room to stay in.

Adventures with Friends

This was part of our exciting weekend of fun! Pierson and Olivia finger painted together and got cleaned up together!

Today we did finger painting! It was alot of fun! I didnt have any paint so I made some

2cups of cold water
2cups of flour
food coloring

it is not the perfect paint but it is ok if they eat alittle!! Pierson had a blast!!! Half of the table was covered when he was done and he needed a bath! Hopefully I will stay crafty and he can do some other fun things.

Date Weekend

This weekend was great fun! Friday night we had her happy or not! Katie and Ryan got to go out for Ryans Birfday without a kid!! She was not happy but she made it! Saturday night Katie and Ryan watched our boys so that we could go on a date! That was great fun! We went to the Upper Crust! It was a neat place alittle to much going on for my style but great for singles!! We ended up playing games with Katie and Ryan after the date! It was fun we had to stop every now and then for Jensen and for Olivia but made it thur a game. We did find out later that Olivia has RSV! No fun for mom or baby!

Late night with a crib

Last night I was tired of dealing with Pierson not going to bed in a big bed so we called the grandparents and went to Babies R US. We started this adventure at around 730pm! Crazy with two kids well not so much when you havent been sleeping much the past couple of days! Jensen has a crib now! The grandparents came over after we bought it and put it together! Yeah! well no Pierson still woke up crying around 2am!! and after lots of tears from all of us and trying everything we can think of he went to sleep with daddy on the floor by his crib! I really dont know what is going on with him these days it could be the lack of sleep, sickness, fluid in ears, new brother but really he should be fine, NOT!! Today he was a total mess and the only time he was calm was when I would sit down and hold him. I am really thinking that jeaslousy is setting in. I think I need a date with my precious baby Pierson! It will have to be next week because wow I have to much going on this week. Still trying to work on my center pieces for the banquet at church on sunday!!! While thinking of ideas of things to make or sew. My cousin ask how i have time for all this and really i dont! But some how itgets done! ok off to bed before the crying starts.

Snow Day

Well we have been snowed in for um well all week. There are days we could of gotten out but Peter took the new car since it is better for the snow. Today was a day filled with adventure. We did get hot water back today but we also got a sad little boy with a loose tooth. No hes not loosing it he fell in the bathroom somehow and hit it. To take him to the doctor would of been a great ordeal because the carseats were with Peter at work, and the doctor is across town. I gave him Tylenol about 30 minutes before he did it so that was good. When he woke up from his nap his temp was 102. You can barely see where his teeth got hit because he sticks his tonuge out over it. I called the doctor and she said probably fine. I decide after the 102 temperature that we should take him to the doctor. We are going to take him to a clinic tomorrow morning. I did get a shower today! YEAH! I was planning on taking a long hot shower......well Pierson had other plans! I got in the bathroom and heard him crying figuring it would stop. While taking my shower i could hear him get louder and he just kept crying! So I hurried up and got out quick, he was still crying when i got out and to him. We think he thought I left. Very sad! Now we are trying to get Pierson down. This big boy bed is a step to being big and wow containment is nice. He does eventually give it up and go to sleep. I think I will head for bed, early I know but I think my body has had it today. I would put on kid down and pick up the other.

This House

Well, this house has been one challenge after the next! Most recently the water heater burner would not light. We called the company and they said broken, called a plumber they said pipes frozen! Oh did i mention that it snowed 12.1' a record for OKC. All in all it turned out to be frozen pipes which i will take over a new water heater. It froze up on Tuesday and today is Friday. I havent showered since Sunday!! Yup I'm gross!!! I have washed my hair and face but that is it. Peter has been taking bird baths! We are basicly snowed in! So of all the problems this has been the easiest so far.

Problems in this house:
A. wash machine drained into the guest toilet
B. plumbing bad and not up to code so they tore up our garage, yard, and driveway for new piping
C. new roof
D. Water coming in a leaking roof and leaking door frame at back door, water running into the house because patio was unlevel
E. heater broke in the middle of winter
F. had to tear out patio because was not level so the water went in the house
G. the hardwood floors were not sanded before they were stained so they are hard to clean
H. bathroom tub/toliet has backed up twice in less that 6 months of being in the house
I. found out there are two roofs
J. had to put in a plug for the dryer b/c was set up for gas dryer, really!!
K. the first wind storm we go blew our gate over and off its hinges
L. the back doors had to be rehung b/c they were not put in right so we had alot of holes and they didnt shut right
M. when we tore up the carpet there was a plastic tarp under the carpet no wonder we had mold
N. had mold on back wall
O. it snows or rains in our garage b/c it is not sealed or even fits the door that is for the cars
P. had rolly polly central in the back rooms where the carpet was bad
Q. kitchen cabinets are coming loose from the ceiling
R. had mice
S. had roaches, german ones
T. had to redo the thresthold on the front door so that we dont have a big hole for air to come thur
U. the window in one of the rooms dont lock
V. most of the windows dont open
W. tile cracking in kitchen
X. had to replace guest toliet seat because when they put back on they did it to tight so it cracked
Y. want to put in new vanity but there is no tile under the vanity
Z. had to have sheet rock replaces on backwall, and sealing from outside
AA. Have to plastic up the windows in the winter because so very cold
BB. put doors on guest clothest and clothest organizer

well thats all i can think of for now. i wanted to get alot of them written down to laugh about later when we are out of this house

It is all worth it!

This weekend and a Monday afternoon made it all worth it. This past saturday night both boys were in bed and asleep by around 9pm. Peter and I were sitting on the couch going what do you do?? With all the things on my mind to do sleep was at the top of the list. I crocheted a little and then went to bed, Peter went straight to bed. I turned out the lamp at 9:56pm! Then I woke up at 7am in a bed of milk, so I went and WOKE UP Jensen to eat! That was Saturday too! The boys were very good to us this weekend. Then Monday after a morning of playing with Olivia, Pierson went down from 1:45pm to 6pm when Peter went and woke him up! It has sure been weird around here. But these are the days that make all the late nights, changes of clothes, LABOR, crying and screaming worth it.

Jensen is 2 months old now and just starting to smile a little more, when hes awake. He loves to smile when he sleeps but rarely when awake. I just love the smilies. Early in the morning those smiles start my day off right. I feel like that is how God feels when we get up and great him with a prayer or devotion time. That feeling is good motivation to talk with God every morning.

Jensen was not to happy today but he did get sat on!!! Our friend Neva and her little boy Nate were over this morning and he accidentilly sat on Jensens head. No biggie he was fine but the entire rest of the day he was not happy! He would crazy scream so very loud until I would pick him up. Not fun!

My brother, Jeremy, came thur town today. We got to have dinner with him. Not alot of time but
I will take anytime i can get with my brother. Pierson was so cute whenever Iwould tell him that Jeremy was coming he would say "Amy". Amy is my brothers wife. It was great to see my brother and Pierson. One of those priceless moments.

Pierson is chatty as ever these days. He says ALOT of things, especially funny things. Like if you show him a heart he says Arch Angel. Why who knows! He loves frosty and Mario! Only seen Mario once but loves to say it. It is busy busy all the time. He goes non stop till bed time. Keeping up with him should definitly help me lose weight.

I am doing good these days the second baby is so much easier! Still hard at times but easier than the first. I still feel like I should tell Pierson sorry for not enjoying his littler days. I love to snuggle with Jensen and he is my snuggle bug. I get house work done and a little bit of fun ok alot. I am hooked on the Ghost Whisper so i watch that when i can. But all in all loving being at home with my boys!
