Late night with a crib

Last night I was tired of dealing with Pierson not going to bed in a big bed so we called the grandparents and went to Babies R US. We started this adventure at around 730pm! Crazy with two kids well not so much when you havent been sleeping much the past couple of days! Jensen has a crib now! The grandparents came over after we bought it and put it together! Yeah! well no Pierson still woke up crying around 2am!! and after lots of tears from all of us and trying everything we can think of he went to sleep with daddy on the floor by his crib! I really dont know what is going on with him these days it could be the lack of sleep, sickness, fluid in ears, new brother but really he should be fine, NOT!! Today he was a total mess and the only time he was calm was when I would sit down and hold him. I am really thinking that jeaslousy is setting in. I think I need a date with my precious baby Pierson! It will have to be next week because wow I have to much going on this week. Still trying to work on my center pieces for the banquet at church on sunday!!! While thinking of ideas of things to make or sew. My cousin ask how i have time for all this and really i dont! But some how itgets done! ok off to bed before the crying starts.

Snow Day

Well we have been snowed in for um well all week. There are days we could of gotten out but Peter took the new car since it is better for the snow. Today was a day filled with adventure. We did get hot water back today but we also got a sad little boy with a loose tooth. No hes not loosing it he fell in the bathroom somehow and hit it. To take him to the doctor would of been a great ordeal because the carseats were with Peter at work, and the doctor is across town. I gave him Tylenol about 30 minutes before he did it so that was good. When he woke up from his nap his temp was 102. You can barely see where his teeth got hit because he sticks his tonuge out over it. I called the doctor and she said probably fine. I decide after the 102 temperature that we should take him to the doctor. We are going to take him to a clinic tomorrow morning. I did get a shower today! YEAH! I was planning on taking a long hot shower......well Pierson had other plans! I got in the bathroom and heard him crying figuring it would stop. While taking my shower i could hear him get louder and he just kept crying! So I hurried up and got out quick, he was still crying when i got out and to him. We think he thought I left. Very sad! Now we are trying to get Pierson down. This big boy bed is a step to being big and wow containment is nice. He does eventually give it up and go to sleep. I think I will head for bed, early I know but I think my body has had it today. I would put on kid down and pick up the other.

This House

Well, this house has been one challenge after the next! Most recently the water heater burner would not light. We called the company and they said broken, called a plumber they said pipes frozen! Oh did i mention that it snowed 12.1' a record for OKC. All in all it turned out to be frozen pipes which i will take over a new water heater. It froze up on Tuesday and today is Friday. I havent showered since Sunday!! Yup I'm gross!!! I have washed my hair and face but that is it. Peter has been taking bird baths! We are basicly snowed in! So of all the problems this has been the easiest so far.

Problems in this house:
A. wash machine drained into the guest toilet
B. plumbing bad and not up to code so they tore up our garage, yard, and driveway for new piping
C. new roof
D. Water coming in a leaking roof and leaking door frame at back door, water running into the house because patio was unlevel
E. heater broke in the middle of winter
F. had to tear out patio because was not level so the water went in the house
G. the hardwood floors were not sanded before they were stained so they are hard to clean
H. bathroom tub/toliet has backed up twice in less that 6 months of being in the house
I. found out there are two roofs
J. had to put in a plug for the dryer b/c was set up for gas dryer, really!!
K. the first wind storm we go blew our gate over and off its hinges
L. the back doors had to be rehung b/c they were not put in right so we had alot of holes and they didnt shut right
M. when we tore up the carpet there was a plastic tarp under the carpet no wonder we had mold
N. had mold on back wall
O. it snows or rains in our garage b/c it is not sealed or even fits the door that is for the cars
P. had rolly polly central in the back rooms where the carpet was bad
Q. kitchen cabinets are coming loose from the ceiling
R. had mice
S. had roaches, german ones
T. had to redo the thresthold on the front door so that we dont have a big hole for air to come thur
U. the window in one of the rooms dont lock
V. most of the windows dont open
W. tile cracking in kitchen
X. had to replace guest toliet seat because when they put back on they did it to tight so it cracked
Y. want to put in new vanity but there is no tile under the vanity
Z. had to have sheet rock replaces on backwall, and sealing from outside
AA. Have to plastic up the windows in the winter because so very cold
BB. put doors on guest clothest and clothest organizer

well thats all i can think of for now. i wanted to get alot of them written down to laugh about later when we are out of this house

It is all worth it!

This weekend and a Monday afternoon made it all worth it. This past saturday night both boys were in bed and asleep by around 9pm. Peter and I were sitting on the couch going what do you do?? With all the things on my mind to do sleep was at the top of the list. I crocheted a little and then went to bed, Peter went straight to bed. I turned out the lamp at 9:56pm! Then I woke up at 7am in a bed of milk, so I went and WOKE UP Jensen to eat! That was Saturday too! The boys were very good to us this weekend. Then Monday after a morning of playing with Olivia, Pierson went down from 1:45pm to 6pm when Peter went and woke him up! It has sure been weird around here. But these are the days that make all the late nights, changes of clothes, LABOR, crying and screaming worth it.

Jensen is 2 months old now and just starting to smile a little more, when hes awake. He loves to smile when he sleeps but rarely when awake. I just love the smilies. Early in the morning those smiles start my day off right. I feel like that is how God feels when we get up and great him with a prayer or devotion time. That feeling is good motivation to talk with God every morning.

Jensen was not to happy today but he did get sat on!!! Our friend Neva and her little boy Nate were over this morning and he accidentilly sat on Jensens head. No biggie he was fine but the entire rest of the day he was not happy! He would crazy scream so very loud until I would pick him up. Not fun!

My brother, Jeremy, came thur town today. We got to have dinner with him. Not alot of time but
I will take anytime i can get with my brother. Pierson was so cute whenever Iwould tell him that Jeremy was coming he would say "Amy". Amy is my brothers wife. It was great to see my brother and Pierson. One of those priceless moments.

Pierson is chatty as ever these days. He says ALOT of things, especially funny things. Like if you show him a heart he says Arch Angel. Why who knows! He loves frosty and Mario! Only seen Mario once but loves to say it. It is busy busy all the time. He goes non stop till bed time. Keeping up with him should definitly help me lose weight.

I am doing good these days the second baby is so much easier! Still hard at times but easier than the first. I still feel like I should tell Pierson sorry for not enjoying his littler days. I love to snuggle with Jensen and he is my snuggle bug. I get house work done and a little bit of fun ok alot. I am hooked on the Ghost Whisper so i watch that when i can. But all in all loving being at home with my boys!

July 2010

My sweet baby boy is so very precious to our family! He is so much fun to watch. He has started running not just mastering walking but taking off running. It is so cute to watch because he runs into things and bumps into chairs! You can get a great laugh at him at almost any moment intime.

The pregnancy is going great so far I am around 23 weeks so already half way there. It is just starting to get hard to hold Pierson because of my belly but he doesnt seem to mind so I dont either. So far i have gained about 20 pounds give or take the day. It has been killer hot here in okc so that is my only complaint but i am trying not to complain.

The new church is going very well for us. We love the family feeling that they have, and yes there are a lot related there but they welcome you in to be a part of their family. We have met lots of people young and old! There is a good group of our age with kiddos so that makes it great for the kids and us. We played Bingo tonight for our Family Fun Night and wow more fun than i would of thought. We went late because Pierson was asleep but really glad we went.

Today we had a cook out at Peters parents house. It was his aunt lindas birthday. Her daughter Erin and her family came up from Dallas for the party. It was fun but Pierson was really tired he actually fell asleep while Linda was opening her gifts. We ended up leaving so he could go home to take a nap.

Pierson has not been sick since we changed his diet over to mostly organic and just about no high frutose corn syrup. I dontknow if that is luck or it is really working but i will keep it up. He got sick this last week and had a fever of 102.3 then his fever broke then fine the next day then fever again. I want to say it is teething but they say fever over 101 is not teething. I am hoping that he and i will rest this week since we have a big trip coming up.

Update for July 2010

Ok well all things going on are crazy and insane but how else to we know life. I am 20 weeks pregnant with baby boy number 2! Due nov. 27th 2010. Pierson is currently 15 going on 16 months old. He is wild and crazy but the best little boy ever! He gives kisses and hugs and wants to be held and loved on. He cries at night to sleep we are kinda starting all over with going to sleep on his own but we can do it. We went to grandmas for two weeks in lubbock, texas and he did great but now back home, not so good.

we tried the big boy bed thing but didnt work so well. He cried so hard i thought he was going to pass out! So didnt work well. Finally peter slept with him on the floor for a couple of hours (12 to 4am) needless to say no one got sleep.

We are trying out a new church and so far we love it. God has blessed our life in so many ways since we have been married. Over the years we have learned how important a church family is. Life is off in everyway when the church part is off. We will see how this pans out but so far so good.
