Really?

Oh, wow today. Woke up really tired not sure why?? Then the dvd player wouldn't spit out my cd just kept switching over to VCR. Went outside to take the trash and almost got hit in the head by the siding that is falling off of our house!! Went to SIMPLY lower Piersons crib and took forever. In the end the crib bumber had to come off, my nail was broken to the quick, and i had to totally read do his crib. That was the start of my day. To add to all of that my lovely little angel would not sleep over 30minutes!! WHY? There were about three times that i got him to sleep and then something would happen and he would wake up. The one time he did go down he woke up screaming. I know that he has been coughing more lately but he big surprise for him. I think he does feel bad. It just breaks my heart to see him so sleepy!! I put him down he cries, I hold him he cries!! Really!!! Then peter comes home and he is happy, for a while!! So to get out all my frustration I sanded Piersons floor. His room looks great now.

December Joy

Well we have started December with lots of joy! Pierson is so happy! He is a real joy to have around! I also started watching my friend Katies' little bundle of happiness Olivia. She and Pierson have been so good to me so far. I do spend alot of time keeping Pierson off of her but she is so cute it is hard to keep your hands off of her. I do enjoy having a friend over for breakfast and lunch two days in a row!

Pierson did start singing and dancing recently! Yeah he copies the tune of " All the single ladies " by Beyonce. What can I say it is too funny. He is also trying to stand up but all he gets is his legs straight and his arm still on the floor. But with his booty in the air he often shakes it. Very cute!!!

8 months

wow how the time flies when you are crazy busy, and are lacking sleep. Eight months WOW who would of thought we would make it this far? Not me! This is a job I never knew I would enjoy so very much! I cant believe I am mom, disbelief is a good word but other days I know I am the luckiest person alive because Pierson is apart of my world! The joy he has brought to our family is indescribable! Having a child has brought me closer to God. Not because I am constantly crying out to him for help at all hours with a crying baby, but because I see a little small glimps of Gods love for me. Even on day one of Pierson being born I would of done anything for him. Was I head over heals in love with him no not yet but that was not important I would of still done anything for him on that day. I try to see how he sees the world because God calls us to have faith like a child. Piersons has faith in everyone and trust everyone. I know only the stage that he is in but wow is that how God sees others??

Today we had agreat day! I followed his cues and the day went smooth. There was the lady at the tupperware stand in the mall that talked to him and he started screaming. Not sure what that was about?? Enjoyed a great day with Courtney and by the end of the day she had an email written and we had figured out the layout of my quilt. Mission Accomplished!!

The never ending sickness!!

OK well it is now Nov. 11th and Pierson has been sick since Sept. 1st. It started with throwing up (projectile) then to diahrea then to THE COUGH! The beginning of Oct we got meds for the cough and they seem to help. Then this last he had diahrea for three days then friday night he started throwing up! I have to say it was great in one aspect! Peter go threw up on! I was in the dining room and he was in the bedroom when you hear what sounds like a bucket of water being poured on the floor! Then you hear Peter say AMANDA!! So i run go get Pierson and take him to the bathtub! What else do you do with a throwing up baby! Then he goes on to keep throwing up for about an hour! The rest after that were just dry heaves(-spell). It was so sad because he was so tired he would barely wake up to throw up then be back asleep. he was really pale as well. And let me add that our friends were over that night!! And may never be back again! I invited over for brownies and they got throw up! Not what you want! But the rest of the night he had diahrea! One time i heard it so i took him to the changing table to change him and it just kept coming out. one big puddle of water CRAP all over the chaning table. then when things quieted down i sat with my little boy holding him and praying for him. I had to go to the bathroom but i didnt want to let go! I just cried as peter and i prayed for him. we ended up calling the nurse so that was good. Then sunday night and monday his cough got worse so today Tuesday I took him to the Dr. and they say he has an ear infected and one with fluid and a sinus infection and a sore throat! My poor baby! I am praying that he gets this all out before the holidays! I dont want him to have to endure the 6 hour, well worth it, drive to grandmas and be sick!

I am excited because he is sleeping a little better so I have been working on my gifts for my friends that are having baby girls!!! I have got all the figures drawn for the two quilts i will be making by march! March 23 and march 29!!I think I can do it! We have two craft nights are church this month and hopefully fit in two in December. OK well after today I need sleep and prayers!!

Another day

Well, Pierson is 5 months old and we have not injured him yet and he seems fairly happy. This weekend we looked at houses and wow !!! I think we may never buy!!! What Peter wants and what I want totally different!!!

the movie EXPERIENCE...

OK this one is definitly for the book. I went with two friends to the movies at 11:55am the other day to see The Time Travelers Wife. I took Pierson with me. He did great he played, eat, slept, and played some more. He is one of those that either talks alot or not at all. This was one of his not alot days. Well after the movie a lady came up to us and told me how disruptive it is to hear a baby cooing during a movie. At this point i thought she was going to say the oohs and aahhs over babies and move on. Well not so much!!!! She proceeded to yell at me about how selfish and rude i was to bring a baby to a movie. She said that it ruined her movie experience. That i should find a babysitter. I told her that she could of left and she said she paid good money ($3.75) to see this movie and I said so did I. Well she just kept going on and on and finally Courtney said I think that is enough we get the point and the lady said no i dont think you do, and continued on. After she left FINALLY we just sat there thinking did this really just happen?? It was a WOW day!!!

Today....

Today was a good day and bad all at the same time. Pierson was great he went 4 hours inbetween feedings and was in a talkative mood. Then Peter left for North Carolina, only for the night but still. It reminds me of the first time he and I spent a night apart. I stayed up all night because I could not go to sleep. I put in Gilmore Girls and watched them on the couch till I fell asleep. After trying so hard to get use to sleeping with someone else in my bed, I now can not sleep with out him. Sappy yes but true I must really love this guy!! OH I do!!!

Pierson talked alot today! He loves to talk to his cow in the car. The car really brough out his talkative side. He got some new clothes today because his footy sleepers do not fit him lenght wise. I got him 6-9 month ones and they fit but wotn for very long. Should of got 12 month ones so they would last longer. He was too cute today when we were playing. I would make crazy noises in his hand and he would grab my nose. He loved grabing my nose! He also had squash for the first time today. He seemed to love it. He definitly likes it better than cereal. OK well going to work on the bible study then try to sleep. I guess if that doesnt work I will Farkle all night.

Today I was driving to the formula study and had the strangest thing happened. The car infront of me was turning and another car coming the oppsite way and was honking its horn for that car to hurry up and turn. Even though the car infront of me had the green light. Here is the strange part. The horn honking car kept honking the horn at the van so the van stops in the middle of the road to go back and talk with the honking driver. They chat and i am stuck in the middle of the road in the middle of turning with no where to go!!! Very strange I guess it was those crazy OU drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cleaning Carseats

OK so the carseat cover is really washable. Today Pierson spit up/threw up so much that there was a puddle of "stuff" in his carseat! Yeah just another day for him. Tonight I figured out how to take it off and wash it. It was really not that hard just figuring out how to take off, wash, and put back on. Who would think it could be that easy!

This little cute guy right here is Pierson Layne! He is what has inspired a blog. My mom says that a journal is great for the mind and for laughs later, we will see. Peter and I have been married for four years and this past March we welcomed Pierson into our little family!
